Editorial policy

Editorial and corrections policy

How we separate evidence, interpretation, examples and commercial interests.

Our standard

Every page should help a first-time founder make a more explicit decision or collect better evidence. A story about success is not proof that copying the story will work. We aim to make the evidence, assumptions and limits visible.

Facts and sources

Historical facts, quotations and numerical claims should have sources readers can follow. We prefer original documents, first-person accounts and company archives. A company archive is a primary account of its own history, not an independent audit of the company’s claims. If a claim cannot be substantiated, we remove it or clearly mark it as unknown.

Our rewritten cases link sources near relevant facts. We avoid invented dialogue and dramatic claims such as a precise rejection count when the evidence is missing. All analysis is labelled as interpretation rather than attributed to the founder.

Public social posts, including X, can help us find language and questions to investigate. We link and date individual examples, paraphrase where practical, and do not treat one post or its engagement as representative market data. Material factual claims need corroboration from primary records or clearly identified first-hand sources.

Original work and examples

Our worksheets, decision questions and synthesis are editorial tools. They are not reports of field experiments unless a page explicitly supplies the method and results of such work. Fictional examples illustrate how to complete a worksheet; names, prices or sample outcomes in them are not customer evidence.

AI assistance

AI can assist with drafting, restructuring and code. It does not establish whether a fact is true. Source checking and final publication remain the publisher’s responsibility. We do not label an AI-generated paraphrase as an interview or use fabricated testimonials, credentials or usage counts.

Review and corrections

Pages display an update date when their content changes materially. An update date does not imply that every external source changed on that date. Send corrections to mcmanamonmelyssa@gmail.com with the page and supporting evidence. Material corrections should be explained on the affected page. Time-sensitive news without sufficiently reliable sourcing has been removed from this version.

Commercial interests

The present learning library has no paid placements or affiliate product recommendations. Future affiliate relationships and sponsorships must be disclosed near the recommendation, and paid links must be appropriately marked. An affiliate commission is not evidence of product quality. We will not fabricate hands-on experience to support a recommendation.

Scope

FounderType offers general education and reflection. The quiz is not a psychological assessment. Our content does not predict business results or replace professional legal, tax, financial or employment advice suited to a particular situation.
