About the publication

About FounderType

A small independent publication helping first-time founders move from reflection to customer evidence.

What this site is for

FounderType is an independent English-language learning site published by chengcheng. It is for people considering a first business or working through an early idea. Its central question is practical: what should you learn before investing more time in a plan?

The site connects three activities: reflecting on your preferred way of working, listening to people who might have the problem, and designing a small experiment that could change your mind. You can read every guide and all four founder-style reference pages without creating an account or giving an email address.

What you will find

Who is responsible

chengcheng is the publisher and the contact for editorial corrections, site issues and privacy requests. Contact mcmanamonmelyssa@gmail.com. This publication does not claim clinical, psychological or investment credentials. Examples are educational; they are not advice tailored to your circumstances.

How the material is made

Some drafting and site development use AI assistance. Source links identify where external facts come from. Worksheets and interpretations are our editorial contributions, and fictional examples are labelled. We do not present AI-generated dialogue as an interview, invent test results or imply that a successful founder used our quiz. See our editorial and corrections policy.

Understanding the quiz

Builder, Visionary, Operator and Hustler are convenient labels for reflecting on choices, not scientifically established personality diagnoses. The quiz has not been validated to predict success, skill, income or co-founder compatibility. Read the methodology and limitations before using a result.

How the site may be funded

Our intended funding model is advertising and, where relevant, disclosed affiliate recommendations. The current version does not load advertising scripts and contains no commissioned product recommendations. Future commercial relationships will be identified next to the relevant content. Funding will not turn a fictional example into a claimed real-world result.
